“For the Love of Lace” by Kathy Hensel is a 28 page pattern book containing 14 bobbin lace patterns, both original designs and patterns that have been adapted from existing pieces of lace.

Kathy says, “I have included patterns that any level of lace maker can make. There are a few simple patterns as well as others that more experienced lace makers will find challenging”.

Some of the patterns included are Black-Eyed Susans, a Celtic Loop de Loop, A Halloween Spider, a Halloween Pumpkin, a Torchon Heart Edging, several Tape Lace patterns, a Floral Buckspoint Edging, and several other whimsical patterns that just might make you smile!

This is a project I urged Kathy to undertake after a stroke left her partially paralyzed in 2017, rendering her unable to continue making bobbin lace. Upon request Kathy will be happy to inscribe a copy for you! Just let her know what you’d like in the inscription.
