Elizabeth Peterson started making bobbin lace with her mother in 1985. She started teaching weekly near her home in 1995. Some of the laces she teaches include Torchon, Bedfordshire, Bucks Point, Bruges, Flanders, Binche, and various tape laces. She also teachers at International Organization of Lace, Inc. (IOLI) Conventions, many lace events, and in addition many lace groups around the United States. Elizabeth has studied various laces with many well known teachers, including Ulrike Voelcker, Kumiko Nakasaki and has studied Bedfordshire lace extensively with Christine Springett. She has won numerous awards for her lace at the local, state, and national levels. Her lace has also been displayed at Ulrike’s biannual exhibition in Germany. The Utah Arts Council awarded her their Traditional Arts teaching grant. She truly enjoys making lace and values all the friends she has made over the years because of bobbin lace..

Bruges Flower Lace is a lace for continuing lace makers. There are three patterns that all have different techniques of the Bruges lace. Each has a different flower and each has different fillings that are common to Bruges. There are leaves, scrolls, tapes and a trefoil. Included in this program are the prickings, diagrams and instructions. There is also a bonus pattern included so you can use the techniques learned.
